Seal armchair in leather and teak by Ib Kofod-Larsen for OPE, Sweden, 1960s.

A rare and magnificent 'Seal' armchair designed by Ib Koford-Larsen for OPE. 1960s. It is one of the finest quality armchairs ever produced in Scandinavia during the mid-century period. It features an elegantly shaped teak frame, within which is a seat and padded cushion made of quality leather. This particular armchair was reupholstered at some point in its life by a highly skilled upholsterer in Sweden (the previous owner purchased the chair in Sweden). It still has its manufacturer's label as can be seen. Aside from minor superficial signs of age and use, as one might expect, it is in superb condition.
