Vintage Alessi ice bucket with tongs from the Mercurio collection from the 1970s

This 1970s ice bucket and complimentary tongs is an iconic set from alessi’s mercurio collection. Both pieces are made of a satin-finished stainless steel. Under the top rim of the ice bucket and along the sides of the tongs are the iconic, corded, rope-like details. The set is perfect for bar service or private use. The original alessi sticker is on the side of the ice bucket. The alessi logo is branded underneath the ice bucket and at the top of the tongs: alfra alessi, 18/10 stainless steel, italy-mod dep. This ice bucket with tongs was designed internally by the alessi technical department and produced in the 1970s. Alessi has been an italian producer of housewares and kitchen utensils since 1922 and has brought everyday home items to a new level of design and appreciation. Alessi is famous for collaborating with a wide range of important designers to work on their collections.
