The wide, rounded hairstyle contrasts with the elongated, oval shape of the face. This head was discovered in the Messii's house in 1925, a vast residence of 200 m², a very large surface area for a city center residence. It is a faithful replica in marble powder resin made by the Louvre casting workshop (signed with the hollow stamp located at the back of the subject), it rests on a veined black marble base.
