This african and modernist sculpture is carved in the stone of mbigou. Small town in gabon located in the province of ngounié. Mbigou is famous for the stone extracted from its soil. The sculptors of this region carve in this material statuettes, characters and scenes of gabonese life. Modern and refined, mbigou's sculptures fit perfectly into the contemporary atmosphere. Sculpture representing a bust of a man. Signed mombo. Good general condition. A very small sparkle on the beard visible in the photo, but nothing too bad. Weight = 2.8 kg. Height = 26 cm.
