This magnificent liqueur decanter is made of engraved crystal and adorned with a precious sterling silver mount. It is a model of liqueur flask dating from the 19th century that was found in liqueur cellars and cabarets. In the shape of a pastille, this decanter is adorned with wreaths of flowers and roses engraved with a wheel. The handle is hot-applied and twisted. The openwork mount is sublime: in silver, it encircles the base and the decanter stopper matches. The silver is hallmarked with the minerva and a diamond-shaped goldsmith's hallmark jb. The stopper bears the swan hallmark. In beautiful condition, it measures 15 cm in height (excluding the stopper) X 10 cm in width. I note a slight deposit in the bottom of the decanter and traces of oxidation of the silver. The twisted handle has a chip at its base and appears to have been glued back together (white traces at its base).
