Attilio Rossi, who was also an important graphic designer and cultural promoter, moved from abstract art to hyperrealism, reaching the boundaries of the most advanced figurative art. In the last period of his career, to which the work presented here belongs, his docks, still lifes, and self-portraits gave way to the grand cycle of metaphysical painting. This is a surreal vision of the cathedral of Milan, above which is projected the figure of the crucified Christ (although in a lying position), the Ecce Homo of the Passion. The framed painting comes from the Campari corporate collection.
