Tall Wooden Pedestal Plant Stand. Column Entryway Plant Stand.

A vintage wooden polished turned hardwood pedestal plant stand. Column pedestal stand. Perfect for displaying large flower arrangements and plants in hallways/entryways and library/reading rooms. It is solid, sturdy and super stylish. It weighs a huge 5.2kgs/ 11.5 lbs! It is threaded, and comes apart into four sections, for ease of storage and transportation. It is tall, standing 87cms/ 34¼" tall. The base is 30cms/ 12" (1ft) diameter. The shelf is 28cms/ 11" diameter. It is a genuine vintage item and therefore has some surface scratches/scrapes from years of genuine use. The stain/varnish has signs of "wear" and is slightly "rough" in places, adding extra authenticity and charm. The top has a very slight warp (see photos), barely detectable, and consistent with its age. It also has a crack/split in the top of the base foot (see last photos) which is a result of the wood drying out, after carving. It does not effect the integrity or stability of the stand in any way. Utterly charming, it has many, many years of service yet to offer. A wonderful, unusual stand from a "by-gone" era!.
