The vintage zemmour carpet is an authentic carpet of the aït zemmour tribe of morocco. What characterizes this carpet is the use of a different set of geometric patterns on an area of natural color, which uses only a few main colors. The end result is truly unique and beautiful. Moreover, the quality of the weaving is indisputable because the carpets are made of pure wool of high quality. The moroccan carpet is a true work of art, which deserves its strong and great value because it represents the hard work, skills, dreams and stories of our berber fairies who wove them. There are 10 different tribes in the zemmours. The name zemmours comes from the berber word "azemmur, " which means olive. Before settling in their present location in northwestern morocco, they were originally nomadic or semi-nomadic tribes, moving on the low plateaus to the north and west of the middle atlas mountains, suitable for livestock and agriculture. Please note: consider that you will receive a handmade product and not an industrial work manufactured by a machine. There may be slight imperfections in shape or pattern, as this is a vintage item, but all of our carpets are restored and washed by professionals before being shipped.
