Golden metal birdcage pendant – decorative work from the 20th century. Original golden metal pendant featuring a stylised cage, richly decorated with scrolls and adorned with numerous birds made of composite materials and natural feathers. The openwork structure, decorated with circles and arabesques, evokes an old cage reinterpreted in a decorative spirit. It is topped with a hook and equipped with its suspension chain, plus a space to hold a candle. The birds, arranged all around the structure, add a poetic and lively touch to the whole. Their creation combines moulded elements and real feathers, in a naive naturalistic style. The interior reveals a central space that can accommodate a light source or a decorative element.
