Mirror with golden mercury parquet signed david frame wood and stuck

You can see on the back the stencil signature "david, mirror maker in clermont-ferrand", dating from the early nineteenth century. Mercury ice with glittery tain (we see small sparkling dots on the sides). Deep reflections, very slightly bluish for this large rectangular mirror. The setting has multiple accidents and keeps a beautiful patina that makes all its charm. The back is original parquet, which makes it particularly strong and waterproof to traces of moisture. I only indicate "good condition" because it necessarily has several marks of wear on the frame (splinters revealing in places the original plaster of the stuck under the gilding) but the mirror is quite functional and all very solid. Dimensions: width 103 cm / height 83 cm / thickness 4.5cm. The weight of 40kg is quite estimated.
