Old 19th century chimney fire screen, French iron mesh spark screen with 3 shutters

Old fireplace screen dating from the end of the 19th century, in iron and metal. The mesh of the 3 panels is remarkably achieved, and this is what makes it a rare and sought-after firewall. It was deliberately left in its original state, note: traces of rust on the fence, numerous wear and marks on the metal which testify to its age and authenticity! The mesh has a hole at the very bottom of one of the shutters, and one of the bars which holds the mesh is seized by rust and no longer pivots (see photos). This firewall must have witnessed long evenings by the fire, so it's your turn to make it live some lovely memories! It will only appeal to those accustomed to old objects worn by time!
