Antique english safe, entirely in original and well-functioning condition. Beautiful lived-in look. It is a safe from the milner firm of liverpool & london. The special thing about this safe is that it has a powder-proof solid lock. This means that the key only turns a quarter of a turn to close or open it. As a result, the space in the lock itself is reduced to a minimum. In this way there was not enough gunpowder to blow up the lock, which was a commonly used method by burglars at the time.
