Magnificent vintage industrial school desk designed by Jacques Hitier. Jacques hitier (1917-1999) is a French decorator and furniture designer, trained at the Boulle school, he notably worked for the companies mobilor and mullca, and tubauto. The desk is the first model from 1950, in steel and wood. The top and the book shelf are in solid oak; the seat and back are made of plywood. The tray has a nib holder groove and an inkwell hole with the original porcelain inkwell. It is very rare to still find the original inkwells, they have often been broken. The height of the table and seat can be adjusted. It allows it to be adapted to the child's body shape. The piece of furniture is in a very good state of conservation, with a few tears in the paint on the legs. Dimensions: Height 78 cm. Width 62 cm. Depth 90 cm. Height of the under table 70 cm.
