chairs n°14 1/2 of Thonet. The 1/2 format (or kleine stühle/ "small chair") appeared in 1885 at Thonet in order to optimize seating capacities in public establishments. The model here present in half is the "elegant" version of 1903 with 47 cm of seat height, with their side buttresses that contribute to their longevity. One chair still has its label and the other 3, stamps Thonet under each seat. Very good general condition and patina of experience - tone of walnut-brown origin. They are superb.
