Chimeras lithography animal engraving

It is a unique example: large board gathering 4 chimeras, framed and made to the measure of the frame. The frame is made of old brown wood and glazed, with signs of wear, and this is all its charm! Each of the chimeras is composed with 2 old engravings dating from 1850. The drawings are indeed the original ones, intact in their shapes and colors. They are selected to work together and form a beautiful creature. On this board are the ousitigeon, the toucéros, the coquandérou and the alcibrouck! It is an amazing and playful way to rediscover these superb period engravings, in a retrocontemporal spirit. The layout is composed in the typographic spirit of the natural history plates of this period. A period but revisited text appears on this large format, describing the ouistigeon. The other texts reveal absurd places where these chimeras live. Art print made in pigment printing of very high quality on 300gr paper. The result is of great precision, a rendering identical to the engravings of that time, matte and velvety (this is the quality of the art gallery prints).
