Set of 6 flat plates from Villeroy & Boch Mettlach, Burgenland blue collection. Stamped "Villeroy & Boch Mettlach / Made in Germany / 'Burgenland' / Mettlacher Kupferstich Unterglasurdekor / since 1809" (green stamp). Decorated in shades of blue on a cream-white background: a romantically detailed riverside landscape, with lush blooms on the rim. Gently scalloped border enhanced with relief. From 1964 to 2001, Villeroy & Boch periodically reissued its famous Burgenland model, featuring different landscapes. These plates date from the 1980s-90s. In very good condition (no signs of use, no accidents), except for a chip on the foot of one plate, a rim bump with a halo, and a dot. See the photos where these defects are highlighted.
