Double BRONZE INK BOTTLE with Antique Decor of Cherubs, 19th Century

Double desk inkwell in gilded bronze, 19th century, with a central decoration of a head with cornucopias and cherubs on each side. Lots of subtlety in the carving details, in the taste of napoleon III. It is elegant due to its harmonious shape and the richness of its decor. Dimensions: length: 28 cm width: 17 cm height: 10.5 cm weight: 1.5 kg. Presence of a number engraved under the base, visible in photo n° 11. Good condition, massive structure which does not include weakness or impact. There must be an element or finish missing in the middle of the containers (orifices). One of the lid buttons leans slightly. Aging appearance of the golden patina, traces of wear and verdigris inside the tanks. An inkwell that has a lot of charm and character.
