The painter captures here a beautiful late summer afternoon, judging by the brightness, it is easy to guess that this landscape was painted in the south of the france. Beyond a hedge, a white path leads to a village from which emerges the bell tower of the church. Installed in the hollow of a hilly landscape, this hamlet seems very peaceful.
