Ancient flared stoneware bottle — Ash drips

Belly bottle in flamed stoneware, found in Touraine. It was likely used to store oil or wine. Its firing makes it unique: the glaze has flowed in long streaks, the flame has left orangish areas on the clay, and small dark craters have formed on the surface. It is glazed inside and out and can be used as a vase. Condition: it has lost its handle, the trace of which can be seen at the neck (detail photo). The craters are original, resulting from the firing. Signs of use from an old piece. Dimensions: Ø 20 × H 26 cm.
