Wine pitcher water ceramic sicard cicada

Nice vintage pitcher dating from the mid-twentieth century. The water pot, wine or ricard is ceramic decorated by hand with traditional motifs from the provence region with a beautiful little cicada. The pitcher was produced by the famous sicard factory founded by louis sicard in 1926. Louis sicard was a talented artist, ceramist and sculptor famous because he was the first to create the famous cicada figurine in 1895. The pitcher bears the sicard stamp. Condition: good general condition, note a file this cooking at the base of the handle.
