4 Vintage Brutalist Wooden Chairs

Set of 4 vintage oak chairs, a fine example of European popular furniture (traditional rural furniture, to be distinguished from style furniture), probably European-made from the 1960s–70s, in a rustic brutalist spirit. Very nice wood patina and entirely solid wood construction with mortise and tenon joints (pinned tenons, without visible screws) — characteristic of the rural craftsmanship of the time. Sturdy, stable, and comfortable chairs — ideal for a dining table, farmhouse, or kitchen. Sober and sculptural design, easy to integrate into a contemporary, wabi-sabi, brutalist, modern country, or rustic chic interior. Overall good condition with slight signs of wear consistent with age. Sold only as a set of 4.
