Mid-Century Sommerso Murano Glass Vase by Flavio Poli, Italy, 1960s

Beautiful sommerso glass vase by flavio poli for seguso vetri d'arte (murano, italy, 1960s). This extremely decorative vase is made of thick green, yellow and clear glass (quite heavy, weighs 2.8 kg). Height: 27 cm; width (largest point): 15 cm; depth (largest point): 10 cm. Excellent vintage condition. "sommerso" is a technique developed in murano in the 1930s which was very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer.
