Addition after upload: I found a yellow very close to the original, so I made a small touch up on the yellow ball where there was a lack of paint (see the last three photos) This charming wall-mounted coat rack with metal structure and 8 red, yellow and green lacquered wooden balls reminiscent of billiard balls is an icon of the design of the 50s and will remain fashionable until the 70s. In the vein of Charles Eames' "Hang it All" published by Herman Miller and Roger Féraud's "Clef de sol" coat rack, it will be declined in many versions, then reissued again and again! This one does not seem to me a later copy, the balls are indeed lacquered wood as originally. It has a leg on each side, each is pierced with two holes for fixing to the wall. It is in good structural condition, very solid, no deformation of the rods, the welds are intact. But he does not hide some signs of his 60 or 70 years: the metal had some gaps on the original black lacquer, I chose to repaint it (in black) then I passed a thin layer of matte varnish. The balls are in good general condition, but have some slight marks or spots as well as a lack on the yellow lacquer of one of the balls, visible because on the front side and a smaller lack on a red ball, not visible because on the back side. I passed a very thin layer of glossy varnish on the balls, in order to protect them a little without distorting them. It would be good to renew this protection operation every few years so that this beautiful coat rack continues to survive the decades. The yellow color is slightly brighter in reality than in the photos. It is 62 cm long, about 18 cm wide, about 11 cm deep and weighs about 700 g.
