Great 19th century roulette. This casino jewel was bought in poor condition in 1988 by an enthusiast who, in 2002, decided to completely renovat it and transform it into an octagonal shape. Roulette is a game of chance in which each player, sitting around a game table, bets on one or more numbers, a color, the height or parity of the number he hopes to be drawn. The number is drawn using a ball thrown into a rotating circular container with notches with numbers of different colors. This game is mostly played in casinos. Roulette is a game very close to the game of the ball (also called small roulette), which is played with a fixed cylindrical board (but which was also sometimes mobile as at the dieppe casino) comprising 9 numbers (from 1 to 9).
