Wooden box

Charming wooden box, painted green (between dark water green and fir green), which I found in the house of a cabinetmaker. It is therefore likely that this box was made by him for his own use more than 50 or 60 years ago. The gilded latch, in brass or bronze, is very original: the small piece of the bottom pivots to prevent accidental opening. Perfect for storing small drawing equipment, sewing, jewelry or as an original pocket tray. I just cleaned it well. It is in good condition for its age, solid, the latch is functional, but it does not hide its age: marks, small holes and various and numerous stains. It had a small label stuck inside, in the name of its owner, I will attach it with the box. It measures 22 cm by 13 cm for a height of 9 cm. It weighs about 600 g.
