These six stools are inspired by the Perriand style and date from the same period. Charlotte Perriand, an imminent French architect and designer, has participated in several ski resort development projects such as the prestigious resort of Courchevel. These stools date from the 1960s and were part of a family home located in the Jardins Alpins, opposite the LVMH hotel, the Cheval Blanc, in Courchevel 1850. These stools are thus a family heritage. They are simple in shape and are very robust, built of varnished solid fir, they have a slightly concave circular base and rest on four tapered legs. They perfectly reflect the Perriand style, which emphasizes elemental forms as well as the beauty of bare and smooth wood. The varnish bears wear marks that give a very vintage "worn wood" style. There are two small annotations on the far side of the stools. These annotations have historical value because they correspond to the numbers of the apartments from which they originate. These rooms are originals, they date from the 60s, date of construction and purchase of the apartments, acquired fully furnished.
