Sideboard 2 body XIXth

Authentic nineteenth century buffet in fir, high with two glass doors and 2 side windows, painted in matt blue with 2 shades. It offers a large part of glazed presentation, for a collection or a personal decoration, additional shelves can be imagined in glass to let the light circulate, but we can fix fasteners in the bottom for a harmonious dressing enjoying all the height: 65cm under the shelf and 66 above. This original shelf formerly nailed to the structure is now placed on wedges and can be removed to create a large diorama visible on 3 sides. The lower part with its shelf, has a large storage space, the interior is covered with a layer of cleaned varnish. Its upper part recessed, its large glazed parts, the side glazing, the fine moldings on the 3 sides and its perfect proportions give this piece of furniture a very harmonious, elegant and sober whole. The four glasses on the front have incredible bubbles and irregularities, full of charm, as we have rarely seen!, 2 have been replaced by old glass, an angle remains split at the top right (see photo) but we preferred to keep this period glass; the side glasses were also replaced (they were painted and split), by less old glass. The damaged cornice has been restored; missing locks too. Some paint flaws... The upper part is placed on the bottom. The bottoms consist of thick boards completely roughed with a round plough and nailed to the flat joint (without grooves or tongues). Usually our matte finishes are protected with a wax, but we leave the choice to the future buyer to change the color easily. It is therefore ready to be installed and become your real cabinet of curiosities!
