Large art deco sewing box, 1930s

An unusually large amsterdam school sewing box. This beautifully made box was probably made by commission from a craftsman in the 1930s. It folds out from both sides and extends to over two meters long (213cm). It was made as a sewing box but could no doubt be used as a general storage or tool box nowadays. All original. Patina consistent with age and use.
