In the vibrant Paris of the 1970s, the Place de la République area stands out as the lung of commercial modernity, blending the excitement of the grand boulevards with the beginnings of avant-garde fashion showrooms. It is for one of these Parisian gems that this monumental piece of interior architecture has been custom-ordered. A spectacular witness to Space Age aesthetics, this central showcase reinterprets with gigantism the famous geometric vocabulary of Italian designer Lorenzo Burchiellaro. But where the domestic pieces of the time allowed emptiness to permeate the material, this special commission opts for opulence and mystery: its structure in chrome-plated steel, with corners expertly truncated at 45°, is completely enclosed. Equipped with its original side access door and mounted on directional wheels, this unique piece is no longer just furniture: it is a fragment of the history of Parisian commercial design, a sculpture of light ready to adorn the volumes of a contemporary loft, an art gallery, or a prestigious concept store. Specific characteristics: Octagonal cubic shape, large circular ocular openings on the sides closed by glass, functional access door with original chrome handle. Condition: Good general condition for a commercial piece of this scale. Patina of the chrome and mirrors consistent with age and use (normal micro-scratches from use, no major structural alterations).
