Large undulating oak screen – Baumann Melun-Paris (1950) Category: Screens & room dividers. Style: Vintage, Scandinavian / Organic / Mid-Century. Period: 1940s / 1950s. Condition: Good used condition – Patina of time (in its original state) Dimensions: • Total length approximately: 290 - 300 cm. • Height: 180 cm. • Rolled diameter: 35 cm. Description: A true icon of French modernist furniture: an exceptional large undulating screen signed by the Baumann house (Melun-Paris), featuring its original metal identification plates on the edge. Thanks to its ingenious invisible assembly system, it easily rolls up on itself (small footprint when closed, approx. 35 cm in diameter) and articulates in elegant sinuous curves, ensuring perfect stability without protruding feet. Ideal for: ▪ Defining a workspace or entrance without closing off the space. ▪ Creating a sculptural privacy screen in a large living room or bedroom. ▪ Boutique, hotel, or event venue decor. ▪ Headboard, etc. Condition: Sold in its vintage state with its superb original patina. Structure is sound, flexible, and stable. Shows slight signs of age and normal wear for its time, which highlight its authenticity.
