Ceramic pot made by Menelika pottery in the 1950s. Cylindrical in shape with a slightly flared neck, it features a stylised decoration applied on a deep green glazed background, structured by dark horizontal bands. The motif, treated in a free and graphic manner, fits within the decorative vocabulary of post-war French ceramics. The glaze, slightly varied and irregular, highlights the artisanal work of the piece. Original label "Poterie d'art Menelika" preserved under the base. France, circa 1960.
