Antique chair, late 19th century fireside chair

Very beautiful old low chair called a nurse's chair. It was once used to feed children and be at their height, also it was used as a fireside chair and to take full advantage of the warmth of the home at a good height. The structure is made of turned wood painted black with small functional casters on each foot for easy mobility. The seat is padded without spring (sinks a little when seated) covered with a caramel beige burlap fabric with white floral patterns. Braids and pompoms in matching finish. Seat height 31 cm.
