Napoleon III Music Shelf

Here is a magnificent piece of furniture, or so-called "partition" shelf, in the napoleon III style, sometimes called "canterbury shelf", or even "high music locker". Its style, imbued with an era, blends happily into very trendy contemporary interiors. While most of its peers have an invariable blackened wood that is slightly dated, here, a beautiful mahogany color rejuvenates and in any case refreshes a piece of furniture that will delicately slide into both classic and more modern interiors. Mounted on 4 original brass casters, it allows numerous functions, not the least of which is mobility. The shelves, in fact, offer an admirable presentation and storage surface. The storage part of the partitions (in 3 vertical partitions) further contributes to completing this beautiful diversity of housing where discs in particular were more recently placed. This multi-functionality does not displease modernity. The support columns, turned with delicacy and style, exude a beautiful lightness while the upper part, topped with discreet brass, contributes to the finesse of the whole. While many have numerous shelves topped with a tympanum that is sometimes bulky and difficult to harmonize, our shelf (circa 1920) can be transformed into a cabinet of curiosities to store treasures.
