Vase by Robert and Jean Cloutier, circa 1950

Jean and Robert Cloutier, the twin brothers of French ceramics, worked closely together for many years, creating unique pieces that left their mark on the world of ceramics. Here we find a small glazed ceramic ball vase with a rotating decoration of brown lines on a cloudy background, all in green and brown tones. We like the short, hemmed and off-centered neck. Signature incised under the base RJ Cloutier. Circa 1960. Good condition.
