Step shelf – Louis-Philippe style – Solid pine – 19th century

Five-tier shelf made of solid pine, likely from a shop or bakery in the mid-19th century, Louis-Philippe period. The wide shelves with rounded edges rest on turned tapered columns, adorned with almond-shaped motifs characteristic of the Louis-Philippe style and topped with spherical finials. The base is supported by strong console feet with carved volutes. The wood displays very expressive grain patterns as well as woodworm holes, indicating the age of the piece. The shelves show significant patinated wear: chips, stains, and visible signs of heavy use. The whole piece is entirely original. Cleaning is required; stripping may be possible depending on the intended use. Dimensions: H. 144 cm × W. 116 cm × D. 14.5 cm. Weight: 15 kg. Delivery excluding shipping costs.
