Gateleg oak table in Louis XIII style - Late 19th century

Pretty louis XIII style gateleg table in solid oak dating from the end of the 19th century. Appearing for the first time in england in the 16th century, this type of table is composed of a fixed top and two hinged flaps which, when not in use, fold under the top to be suspended vertically in order to free up space. This model has a very elegant spiral-turned base. The modularity of this table will allow you to use it open either as a server, a table for two-to-one lunches, a pedestal table or a tea table.
