Buffet or high modernist sideboard in teak, France circa 1960.

Very beautiful high sideboard or buffet in modernist or reconstructivist style from the 50s/60s. A characteristic model of French productions from that era (manufacturer and publisher labels inside, see photo). Of very high quality, made entirely of solid teak and teak veneer for the exterior, with satin varnished beech for the interior, the piece consists on its left of a full-height double-door cupboard (3 adjustable shelves on brackets), in the centre of a glass niche with double sliding doors (1 removable glass shelf with a mirror at the back) and finally 3 modules with hinged doors (3 adjustable shelves on brackets) and a unit with 3 drawers. The whole rests on a very beautiful tapered leg reinforced by a steel rod underneath the entire piece (prevents warping under its own weight). Total width 210 cm, height 149 cm, depth 50 cm. In superb used condition, there are just a few micro chips of veneer at the edges and slight wear of the varnish at the bottom of the cupboard, all without affecting the overall aesthetics. Ultra versatile and functional, this high buffet will bring a true vintage chic design touch to your decor.
