Bamiléké shield from Cameroon, black and white, solid wood

Traditional African Bamileke shield, handmade in Cameroon. The shield is carved from solid wood, it contains white African geometric patterns on a black background which are covered with kaolin. The back of the shield includes a handle. This piece is unique because its manufacturing is 100% artisanal. Can be used as wall decor by providing a suspension system. Diameter 55cm.
