This set of chairs was designed by svante schöblom for the swedish overman manufacture during the 1970s. They were produced in several colors, but the white design is the most universal. It adapts to any space and perfectly combines functionality with the scandinavian design characteristic of the mid-century modern era. The design of the chairs consists of a backrest and a seat made of molded white plastic. The seat has an integrated upholstered element in a burgundy color. The chairs are stackable. This model was later reproduced by ikea. Svante schöblom is a swedish furniture designer. He studied industrial art and interior design at the konstfack art school in stockholm in the 1960s. He then worked for overman ab as a designer and programmer for several years. Much of his work consisted of a substructure (often made of thin chromed metal components) and overlying it, a monochrome injection molded seat body that was flexible and often stackable (such as the snille chair designed for ikea). The upholstered seats often wore a color that contrasted with the plastic seat body. Overman ab became famous for the use of new materials and production methods that were previously not widely used in the furniture industry. This chairs are in original vintage condition. They have minor scratches and age-related yellowing. The seat is 44 cm high.
