606 shelving system by Dieter Rams for Vitsoe, 1960s

Modular shelving system 606, designed by Dieter Rams. Consists of three aluminium E-profile rails and six wooden shelves. Dieter Rams (born 1932 in Wiesbaden) shaped 20th-century industrial design as chief designer at BRAUN. From the 1950s onwards, he also designed a series of furniture pieces, initially produced by Otto Zapf and later by Vitsœ. 3 E-profiles, each 141 cm long, 6 shelves 66.5 cm X 22 cm. Very good condition.
