Louis XVI period candlestick in chiseled gilt bronze

This gilt bronze candlestick dates from the reign of Louis XVI, at the end of the 18th century. The bronze is finely chiseled and mercury-gilded. Very good overall condition, no missing parts. The patina is old. 27cm high, 13cm diameter.
