Impressionist painting - Normandy landscape by Louis Minet (1841-1923)

Hello. I am offering a painting by Louis MINET (1841-1923) depicting an autumn landscape in Normandy at the beginning of the 20th century. This typical and very representative work of this painter is a dry pastel. This painting is in magnificent condition with its original oak frame and period gilding. The whole has been cleaned, a fixative has been applied (Sennelier), and a new mat has been added. The fully restored frame is very sturdy. The whole is ready to hang. Frame size: 78 cm X 61 cm. Dimensions of the work: 49 X 31.5 cm. Artprice estimate in photo. Émile-Louis Minet (1841-1923) was born in Normandy in Rouen where he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts. He began his career as an interior designer, but his passion for painting won out. He studied with great Parisian painters such as Humbert and Jules Lefebvre, who allowed him to develop his own style. Émile-Louis Minet was a prolific painter, producing a large number of works during his lifetime. He is famous for his paintings of Normandy landscapes, but also painted portraits, still lifes, and genre scenes. He was a member of the Société des Artistes Français and won several awards for his work.
