Set of 12 flat plates Villeroy & Boch Mettlach, model 1562 "Alt Strassburg / Vieux Strasbourg". Stamped (green stamp) "Villeroy & Boch / Mettlach / Made in Saarland / 1562", and hollow markings. Villeroy & Boch re-released this model in the 1980s; These are plates from the original series produced in the 1950s. Floral decoration (pink, tulip, peony) on an ecru background, gently chamfered border, enhanced by a forest green net. The lot consists of 4 "pink" plates, 4 "tulip" plates and 4 "peony" plates. Fine semi-porcelain earthenware. Beautiful quality in a rather exceptional condition (these plates have very little or no use): no scratches of use, sharp slices, some slight stains, two chips and a small jump of the enamel: See the detailed photos: all these defects are presented.
