Vintage signed amber bubble blown glass ice bucket Biot

Blown glass ice bucket from the Biot glassworks, deep amber hue, animated by a multitude of trapped bubbles that capture the light and give substance to the piece. The slightly flared shape is balanced by two applied handles, hot-fused, with a simple and effective design. The denser, almost smoky base creates a visual contrast that enhances the perception of volume. BIOT signature under the base: a typical production from the Biot workshops in the Alpes-Maritimes, known for their iconic bubbled glass developed in the 1950s–1970s, combining artisanal craftsmanship with an immediately identifiable decorative signature. In excellent vintage condition, shiny, with original irregular bubbling, signature of the process. Width from handle to handle 16 cm, opening diameter 13 cm, height 13 cm. Biot bubbled glass catches the light and makes the amber vibrate.
