Oil on canvas embedded and framed in original gilded frame with plaster moldings. Portrait of a cassock clergyman executed in the 19th century. Unsigned painting. Some splinters on the frame including a middle one at the bottom right and a less important one in the lower left corner. Framework to be restored. The canvas has two snags: patches are placed at the back of the canvas. Superb period portrait despite the traces of use mentioned above. Decorative piece of beauty.
