Designed by Charles Lemanceau and manufactured by the Saint-Clément factory in France, this ceramic sculpture with crackled glaze, typical of the Art Deco period, represents a pair of deer or antelope. The work is signed on the rim of the base: "Lemanceau" and the underside is stamped "France. Lémanceau (1905-1980) was one of the most important sculptors of the French Art Deco period, specializing in animal sculptures. Wear consistent with use and age, no damage or repairs, in excellent vintage condition.
