Farm work table in solid pine, 1950s

Maison Lecan presents this 1950s farmhouse work table made of solid pine. A compact size of 160 × 80 cm, it features two large drawers and four turned legs. Its strong point is its height. At 82 cm, it exceeds a standard dining table by a small ten centimetres. You can work standing up without bending over, making it a beautiful display table for a shop, a workshop workbench, or a supplementary island in a kitchen. The top, made of wide pine planks, rests on a frame that houses the two drawers, one on the long side and the other at the end of the table. The turned legs lighten the silhouette. The table has been fully restored in our workshop: treated, sanded, and then finished with a matte varnish. The pine has retained its warm hue and a few signs of use that tell the story of its previous lives. It is perfectly solid and stable.
