Description
Stunning and in great condition are these 4 Selene Chairs designed by Vico Magistretti for Artemide in Italy around 1969. The entire chair is made of one piece of molded fiberglass with the legs being attached afterwards. The legs are shaped providing additional stability and ease in stacking. Because of the fiberglass material they are suitable for indoor or outdoor use. The shape of the movable back makes it very comfortable — was one of the most affordable and comfortable products of its time. The chair was patented for in 1967 and these still have the sign of Patent pending (indicating their age). They are kept in the MOMA permanent collection. Some minor scratches in sync with the age. Minimum discoloration and well preserved. They measure 47W x 39D x 75.3H. Set to floor 45cm.
