Henkel vase (vase with a handle) Scheurich vintage from the 1960s with a hand-painted brown floral decoration on a cream ceramic background. This vase is West German pottery produced by Scheurich Keramik, one of the most important and prolific ceramic manufacturers in West Germany during the golden age from the 1950s to the 1980s. Upon turning the vase over, two numbers can be found engraved under the base, separated by a dash (here 415-22). The first number indicates the mould of the shape (Formnummer) and the second gives the exact height in centimetres. The mention "W. Germany" is also inscribed there. This model is part of the classics of Scheurich produced around the 1960s and 1970s. Its clean look, combining a traditional jug silhouette with minimalist botanical graphics, makes it a beautiful example of mid-century table art. Although the brand is world-renowned for its thick volcanic glazes known as Fat Lava, it also produced collections with softer and smoother floral or geometric decorations, either hand-painted or stencilled. Diameter: 12 cm, height: 22 cm.
