Fernand piet, born august 26, 1869 in paris (eldest son of jules piet) and died february 24, 1942 in paris is a french painter great-grandson of charles mozin marine painter. He was a pupil of eugène carrière, fernand cormon and alfred roll. He exhibited to the independents and french artists his paintings and engravings of landscapes of brittany, holland and the south, as well as genre scenes: parks, children, markets. He is also the author of a large number of female nudes and rare marines. The material wealth provided by his family and his happy stock market speculations allowed him to lead a worldly life with his friends lucien-victor guirand de scevola, edmond lempereur and jean-louis forain. In 1905, he was vice-president of the salon des artistes indépendants as well as paul signac. Decorated with the order of academic palms in 1910.
